IT Quality Analyst
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all assigned applications, functional areas and projects.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to review the impact of proposed changes to applications to assure quality outcomes.
- Analyze project requirements, develop test plans and test scripts and implement testing to assure that all functionality is performing as intended.
- Plan and schedule QA deliverables throughout project lifecycle.
- Lead and participate in the development of User Acceptance test plans and test cases.
- Lead daily activities related to test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, test data development, test execution and validation.
- Troubleshoot unintended results to determine the cause of such unintended results and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Regularly report overall project status from a QA perspective including test case execution statistics, defect status, and satisfaction of quality metrics.
- Effectively document all work.
- Works closely with developers to support defect resolution.
- Participate in test result reviews for approval and final sign-offs.
Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
- 3-5 years QA and testing experience, in a P&C insurance environment.
- Proven ability to set QA direction, create test strategies and test plans for insurance related applications.
- Working knowledge of QA best practices.
- Able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent project teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the further ability to communication ideas in both technical as well as user friendly terms.
- Strong project management skills and/or exposure to project-based work structures.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
